Nikolaos Englezos studied Mathematics at the University of Athens (1997-2001). He holds an M.Sc. and an M.Phil. in Mathematics (2001-2004), as well as a Ph.D. in Mathematical Finance (2004-2007) from Graduate School of Arts and Sciences of Columbia University.


He has taught at the Department of Mathematics of Columbia University and at the Department of Informatics of the Athens University of Economics and Business, both at undergraduate and at graduate level. He has also been a postdoctoral fellow of the State Scholarships Foundation of Greece.


His research interests focus on the fields: Stochastic Analysis, Stochastic Control Theory and Optimization, Stochastic Differential and Partial Differential Equations, Mathematical Economics and Finance. His research has been published in international scientific journals, and he has presented his work at international academic conferences.
