Antonia Botsari is a Lecturer in Financial Accounting at the Department of Banking and Financial Management of the University of Piraeus. She has studied Economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business (1997-2001). She holds an M.Phil. in Finance (2001-2002), as well as a Ph.D. in Financial Accounting (2002-2006) from Judge Business School of the University of Cambridge. From 2005 to 2009 she was an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Warwick Business School of the University of Warwick, where she taught both at undergraduate and at postgraduate level. She is a Fellow in Accounting and Finance and a Visiting Lecturer at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.

Her research and teaching interests lie in the areas of Financial Reporting and Financial Statement Analysis, Earnings Management, Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Market Research in Accounting, and Corporate Governance. She has presented her work at international conferences and her research has been published in academic journals. She is a member of the European Accounting Association and of the British Accounting Association.
